Equal Voice (EV) is hosting its Annual Meeting of Members on Saturday, January 31st 2015 from 1 p.m to 4 p.m ET in the O'Connor Room of the Sheraton Hotel at 150 Albert Street. The meeting will take place via live web and/or audio-conferencing to facilitate nationwide participation.
 
There will be several host locations in most provinces where Equal Voice Chapters exist. Information on these sites will be forthcoming in mid January (check back here for updates). At these locations, members who have paid their membership fees within the last year as of Friday, January 16th 2015 will be able to participate in the national meeting by audio-conference or web-conference. Equal Voice is also arranging for members to participate electronically from their homes. 
 
In order to have the right to vote as an Equal Voice member, you must have paid for an EV membership within the last year as of January 16th 2015. You can make an annual membership payment of $50 ($10 for students/low income) here.  To verify your membership status, please send an email to memberships@equalvoice.ca. 
 
Members who have chosen to affiliate with a local EV Chapter in their area where they exist (EV members are automatically invited to do so upon payment) will have the opportunity to vote for their Chapter Chairperson as well as seven non-Chapter Directors who will sit on the Equal Voice National Board of Directors and 1 immediate past chair position. EV Youth members will have the opportunity to vote for their National Youth Chairperson.
 
Equal Voice will be giving members the opportunity to vote in absentia via the internet. Absentee Voting will be available from Wednesday, January 28th at 12 p.m. ET and will conclude on Saturday, January 31st at 3:30 p.m. ET.  All voting details will be sent by email and voting will be conducted through a completely confidential highly secure website, Simply Voting
