Calgary
Chair: Dhuha Nader
The Equal Voice Calgary Chapter has an active steering committee. Throughout the year, our local multi-partisan committee executes events and programming to raise awareness about the need for more women in leadership positions and to encourage women and diverse candidates to run for political office. Additionally, the Calgary chapter works to support, promote and celebrate women in politics. The Calgary chapter is actively committed to this work locally and throughout southern Alberta.
Equal Voice Calgary hosts several events throughout the year including our annual She Governs program, which invites high-school aged women to participate in a mock city council — this program is a partnership with the City of Calgary. We also offer campaign schools for women candidates and their campaign staff, this includes volunteer management, door knocking, campaign finances, media and communications, and data management and analysis.
